It was such an emotional Q&A session.
During post-production, the director lost his best friend. He said that movies are created by sacrificing one's life. Everything from the five senses, to faith, to the sense of life and death, is present in every corner of the screen.
The relationship between Islam and Hinduism. Borders where friction never stops. This is a feeling that may not be very familiar to Japanese people, but it happens all the time all over the world. A voice can be heard from there.
What captivated me the most in this movie was the death scene. It happens and passes in the blink of an eye. At the same time, that moment becomes the past, and it will never come back. This feeling was very real. It is gone.
I encourage you to go see these two dostojees in theatres.

Synopsis:
Set in the Bengal region near the border between India and Bangladesh, where the riots that arose from the confrontation between Hindus and Muslims in the early 1990s spread, this film depicts the pure friendship between a boy born into a Hindu family and a boy born into a Muslim family. The innocent laughter of two young boys echoes through the beautiful greenery of Bengal and the paddy fields that stretch across the landscape. One day, the two meet their fate of being separated forever...
